Guide to Palermo’s public gardens

Book layout design for a cultural publication

Commissioned by Fondazione Salvare Palermo, Guida ai giardini pubblici di Palermo documents the city’s green spaces through a multidisciplinary lens. Edited by Rosanna Pirajno and Arturo Flaibani, with photography by Sandro Scalia and Turiana Ferrara, the book blends historical narrative, botanical insight, and architectural memory across more than 300 pages.

Under the creative direction of the designer Paolo Di Vita, my role (together with a second designer) was to shape the book’s internal layout. We implemented the manuscript across the visual framework, adapting it to a flexible grid system that could accommodate essays, archival references, and full-page images.
